Khilesh Kumar Anand – Executive Chef
As a child growing up in the vibrant city of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, K K Anand’s passion for flavour started early. The locally grown and organic ingredients that were a staple of his childhood meals became the inspiration for a life-long love of fresh, sensory, and above all delicious food.
In 2012, Anand was hired as Head Chef for Indian and Asian Cuisine at The Olympic Village by ‘Aramark’, catering for up to 10,000 elite athletes every day. He strives for the perfect balance of spicing in all his dishes, a dedication which has taken him around the world and has brought him compliments from famous and discerning diners including the Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Bill Gates, the King of Malaysia, and Lakshmi Mittal.
Anand’s illustrious career started at the five-star hotel Sofitel in Delhi, India, and progressed to different countries through Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the USA. For the last 15 years, he has worked at some of the UK’s finest Indian establishments, including The Cinnamon Club and Mint Leaf of London.
At Chokha, we believe this is what Beckenham deserves and we hope you enjoy discovering Anand’s truly unique flair.
