We were delighted to welcome cast and crew of the new feature “Days of the Bagnold Summer” to film inside our beautiful restaurant on 12 September. The two-day filming process for the novel turned feature film, featured actors Rob Brydon and Tamsin Greig with creative direction from Inbetweeners star Simon Bird. It was an intensive experience and gave us a wonderful insight into how much work goes into the filming of these scenes, however everything went very well, with the crew getting just the shots they needed. We certainly look forward to seeing the finished product and have no doubt that Simon will have us laughing out loud.
It has been a great opportunity for us and we cannot wait to see the restaurant in the film, knowing that Beckenham’s jewel Chokha will now be famous worldwide. A mini follow up video was made straight after the filming showcasing the restaurant, though it’s not in the film-makers league and we’re pleased to share a shot of behind the scenes footage!
